Overview
The Church has always supported parents to fulfill the solemn promises they made when they brought their children to the waters of baptism - to bring them up the knowledge and practice of the Catholic Faith.
Parish-based religious education is offered through different programs under different names, such as Sunday school, Faith Formation, or CCD (the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine).
Here at St. Timothy’s, we strive to fulfill the best elements of
a. Keeping Sunday sacred by attendance at Mass
b. Providing an environment for age-appropriate formation in faith
c. Learning the essential teachings of the Church.

Is there a cost?
To ensure we are covered for the material we use we are asking each family to contribute $135 for one child, $185 for two children, or $235 for three or more children. No active family of the parish community will be turned away because of financial hardship.
How does my child prepare for First Holy Communion?
Two years of Religious Education is expected to ensure that children are properly prepared for both their First Confession and their First Holy Communion. It is necessary that you submit a copy of your child's baptismal certificate to the front office no later than November 15, 2024, if your child expects to receive their sacraments in Spring 2025.
What if my child(ren) is a little older, has not recieved any Sacraments, or never had religious education?
We can always find a solution! Please work with our Director who will suggest some of the options we can use to accommodate your children.
What if I use a Catholic Home School curriculum or my child(ren) attends a Catholic School?
If you are Home Schooling or your child(ren) attends a Catholic School, you are only required to attend the supplemental classes if the children are preparing for First Holy Communion. However, it is important that the pastor knows this to ensure his responsibilities are met. Please do this by filling out the registration form below and write in "HOME SCHOOL/CATHOLIC SCHOOL" in the space provided for additional information. The pastor or the director will contact you to ensure you have the necessary materials and information to present your child for First Holy Communion.
How often will Sunday School classes be scheduled?
Sunday School will be held weekly on Sunday mornings from 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM. See the schedule below.
