The Women of St. Timothy is a parish organization of women from 18 years of age and older. The organization was founded in 1986. We are members of the Escondido Women's Deanery, which annually contributes $500.00 to the DCCW Seminary fund.

We meet once a month where we promote spiritual growth, social ministry as well as have a speaker or craft (given by a parishioner's time and talent) after the business portion of our meeting. We also foster community through various parish functions and social activities, i.e. Annual Christmas Boutique and bake sale in which we raised over $3,400 this year, Palm Sunday Bake Sale and a Christmas dinner which we hosted over 100 parishioners. We had our First Annual Tea fundraiser which we raised over $4,000 in proceeds for the Right to Life ad campaign for the San Diego Archdiocese. We had 22 beautifully decorated tables hosted by our Priest Father Jim, parishioners and friends of St. Timothy in which we hosted over 200 people and provided a "History of Wedding Gowns" fashion show.

The Women of St. Timothy have been extremely successful in their fund raising efforts for the Parish. We have furnished the majority of Altar needs for worship, which includes gold bowls and cups, replacing linens and vestments. We also raised funds to provide the beautiful stained glass windows across the front of the church, the Altar and new Easter wall hangings and dedication plaque to name just a few. We have just completed funding the social hall's kitchen to serve over 250 people complete with all amenities for which all parish organizations can utilize. We continue to contribute time, talent and financial resources to other parish organizations as needs arise (education, youth, seminarians).

The Women of St. Timothy continue to outreach to all women of the Parish. We are 150 members strong and our enrollment has been growing monthly. Our 2001/02 Officers are:

1st Vice President - Karen Haas
2nd Vice President - Jeannine O'Brien
