St. Timothy Outreach Ministry Our ministry
serves the parish and adjacent communities. Through the generous
support of our parishioners, we provide assistance and
counseling for those in need. A partial list of areas of involvement
include financial assistance, medical recommendations,
distribution of food and clothing, and financial reserve for
major expenses such as helping people who are experiencing
a catastrophe. For further information call Ardie Burrows
760.745.3542 or Ken Kerins 760.737.7191. Financial donations
are always needed to replenish our monthly financial
expenses which exceed $3000 especially with Holidays. |

Dear Parishioners
February 5, 2012
5th Sunday Ordinary Time
Dear Parishioners of St. Timothy’s,
The Mass of Welcoming the Most
Reverend Cirilo Flores as the Coadjutor
Bishop of San Diego will take place
on Monday, February 13, at 1:00 p.m. at
St. Therese of Carmel Catholic Church,
Carmel Valley, in the presence of Cardinal
Roger Mahoney, Archbishop Emeritus of Los Angeles
and the Most Reverend Jose Gomez, Archbishop
of Los Angeles.
All registered parishioners should be on the lookout for
the 2012 Annual Catholic Appeal mailing to arrive in
the coming days. This mailing will contain an appeal
letter from me along with the donation/pledge envelope.
For those who are not registered or for some reason do
not receive this mailing, envelopes will be available in
church and in the Parish Office for months to come.
Please do all that you can to help us reach our parish
goal of $54,000, the same as last year. 80% of payments
OVER our goal will come back to the parish.
The Parish Office will be closed on Monday, February
20, in observance of the Presidents’ Day holiday. Mass
will be celebrated at 6:30 a.m.
Ash Wednesday; Lent begins February 22
(Day of Fast and Abstinence):
Mass and Distribution of Ashes:
6:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., and 7:00 p.m.
Lenten Penance Service: Tuesday, March 13, at 7pm.
A thought for reflection: “Abortion kills twice. It kills
the body of the baby and it kills the conscience of the
mother. Abortion is profoundly anti-women. Three
quarters of its victims are women: half the babies and
all the mothers.” Blessed (Mother) Teresa of Calcutta
With gratitude for all your participation and support,
Fr. Fernando Ramirez, Pastor
